Make squares of Bucilla "Wool and Shetland Wool," 2 oz balls;
or Bear Brand, Fleisher's or Botany Machine Washable Winsom, 2 oz skeins;
or equivalent

Use Crochet Hook, Size G or size required to obtain gauge

GAUGE: Each Square approximately 8 ins. square

Multiple of 2 ch sts

With B, ch 36 for lower edge.

Row 1–right side–Work 1 tr in 5th ch from hook, 1 tr in each remaining ch; 33 sts counting turning ch as 1 st.

Row 2–Ch 1, turn, work 1 sc in each st, end 1 sc in top of turning ch; 33 sts.

Row 3–Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in first st, work a bead st as follows;–holding the loop on hook, insert hook in next st, yo and draw up a loop, ch 3 in this loop only for bead, yo and through the 2 loops on hook to complete bead, keep bead on right side of work, 1 sc in next st, * 1 bead st in next st, 1 sc in next st; repeat from * to end; 16 bead sts made.

Row 4–Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each st.

Row 5–Repeat row 3.

Row 6–Repeat row 4.

Row 7–Ch 4, turn, skip first st, work 1 tr in each remaining st; 33 sts including turning ch.

Repeat last 6 rows until 25 rows–about 8 ins. from beg. Fasten off.
