Make squares of Bucilla "Wool and Shetland Wool," 2 oz balls;
or Bear Brand, Fleisher's or Botany Machine Washable Winsom, 2 oz skeins;
or equivalent

Use Crochet Hook, Size G or size required to obtain gauge

GAUGE: Each Square approximately 8 ins. square

Multiple of 2 ch sts

With B, ch 36 for lower edge.

Note–Draw up loops about ½ in.

Row 1–right side–Yo, insert hook in 5th ch from hook, yo and draw up a loop, * yo, draw up a loop in same ch; repeat from * once, having 7 loops on hook, yo and draw through last 6 loops on hook, yo and draw through remaining 2 loops on hook–1 cluster made, † ch 1, skip 1 ch, yo, draw up a loop in next ch, ** yo, draw up a loop in same ch; repeat from ** once–7 loops on hook, yo and through 6 loops on hook, yo and through remaining 2 loops on hook–cluster made; repeat from † 14 times more, 1 dc in last ch; 16 clusters, plus turning ch and 1 dc.

Row 2–Ch 4, turn, skip first cluster, work 1 cluster in next ch-1 space, * ch 1, 1 cluster in next ch-1 space; repeat from * 13 times more, ch 1, 1 dc in 3rd ch of turning ch; 15 clusters, plus turning ch and 1 dc.

Row 3–Ch 4, turn, 1 cluster in first ch-1 space, * ch 1, 1 cluster in next ch-1 space; repeat from * 13 times more, ch 1, 1 cluster in last space, 1 dc in 3rd ch of turning ch; 16 clusters, plus turning ch and 1 dc.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until 13 rows–about 8 ins. from beg. Fasten off.
