or equivalent
Use Crochet Hook, Size G or size required to obtain gauge
GAUGE: Each Square approximately 8 ins. square
With B, ch 2 for center, work 4 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Round 2Do not turn, working in back loop of each sc, work 3 sc in each of 4 sc; 12 sc. Mark last sc for end of round. Carry marker at end of each round. NoteAll rounds are worked from right side, working into back loop of each sc.
Round 3Do not turn, continue around working 1 sc in next sc, * 3 sc in next sccenter sc of corner, 1 sc in each of next 2 sc; repeat from * twice more, 3 sc in next sc, 1 sc in last sc of round; 20 sc.
Round 41 sc in each of next 2 sc, * 3 sc in next sccenter sc of corner, 1 sc in each of 4 sc; repeat from * twice more, 3 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of last 2 sc of round; 28 sc.
Round 51 sc in each of next 3 sc, * 3 sc in corner sc, 1 sc in each of next 6 sc; repeat from * twice more, 3 sc in corner sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc; 36 sc.
Round 61 sc in each of next 4 sc, * 3 sc in corner sc, 1 sc in each of next 8 sc; repeat from * twice more, 3 sc in corner sc, 1 sc in each of next 4 sc; 44 sc.
Continue around in this way, working 3 sc in each corner sc every round until 19 rounds from beg., end at markerabout 8 ins. square; 148 sc. Work sc to within 1 sc of next corner, join with sl st in corner. Fasten off.
