Pattern-Row 1-right side-K 3, * k 2 tog., yo, k 5; repeat from *, end last repeat k 4.

Row 2-P 2, * p 2 tog. through back loops of sts, yo, p 1, yo, p 2 tog., through front loops of sts, p 2; repeat from * to end.

Row 3-K 1, * k 2 tog., yo, k 3, yo, SKP; repeat from *, end k 1.

Row 4-P.

Row 5-K 1, * yo, SKP, k 5; repeat from *, end last repeat k 6.

Row 6-P 1, * yo, p 2 tog. through front loops of sts, p 2, p 2 tog. through back loops of sts, yo, p 1; repeat from *, end last repeat p 2.

Row 7-K 3, * yo, SKP, k 2 tog., yo, k 3; repeat from *, end last repeat k 2.

Row 8-P.

Repeat these 8 rows for pat. until 57 rows-about 8 ins. from beg., end on wrong side with pat. row 8. Bind off as to k.
