Rows 2, 4 and 6-K 3, * p 1, sl 2 sts to hook, hold at back, k next 2 sts, k 2 sts from hook, sl next 2 sts to hook, hold at front, k next 2 sts, k 2 sts from hook, p 1, k 3 *,p 1, k 8, p 1, k 3; repeat between *'s once.
Rows 8, 10 and 12-K 3, p 1, k 8, p 1, k 3, * p 1, sl next 2 sts to hook, hold at front, k next 2 sts, k 2 sts from hook, sl next 2 sts to hook, hold at back, k next 2 sts, k 2 sts from hook, p 1, k 3 *, p 1, k 8, p 1, k 3.
Rows 14, 16 and 18-K 3; repeat between *'s of row 8 once, p 1, k 8, p 1, k 3; repeat between *'s of row 8 once.
Rows 20, 22 and 24-K 3, p 1, k 8, p 1, k 3; repeat between *'s of row 2 once, p 1, k 8, p 1, k 3.
Repeat these 24 rows for pat. until 54 rows-about 8 ins. from beg., end on right side with pat. row 6. Bind off in pat.
