Materials
Color A knitting worsted (lilac shown)
Color B knitting worsted (white shown)
Size H hook
2 ¾" bottle baby or thumb sucker baby doll head
1 pr. 1" baby hands

NOTE: Ch 3 counts as 1 dc.

Bonnet

With color B (white) ch 23.

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each ch st, ch 1 turn (22 sc).

Rows 2-8: Sc in each sc across row, ch 1, turn. Repeat row 2 until 8 rows are completed.

Row 9: Fold in half and sc 8th row together. Fasten off, making the seam down the back of head.

Body

Row 1: With color A (lilac) and right side toward you, attach yarn in 4th row from face edge, ch 1 and in same place sc, 3 more sc over right side (toward front) of piece, 1 sc in first and last ch st of beginning ch (which acts as 1 st), 4 sc in 4 rows of left side of piece. Ch 1, turn (9 sc) thereby pulling the two front points together.

Rows 2-9: Sc in each 9 sc across Row 1 to make body panel. Ch 1, turn. Continue until 9 rows have been completed. Fasten off.

Sleeve

Row 1: With color A (lilac) and right side facing you, attach yarn in 2nd row from head and sc in same place, 1 sc in next 3 rows, ch 4, join to 1st sc, making a circle. This allows for finger holes.

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in same place, 1 sc in next 3 sc and in the 4 ch sts, join (8 sc).

Rows 3-7: Ch 1, sc in same place and in each st around, join. Continue until 7 rows are completed. Fasten off.

Make other sleeve to correspond, attaching yarn in 5th row from head on the opposite side.

Insert hands into end of sleeve and tie tightly, or glue in place.

Legs

Row 1: With color A (lilac) and right side facing you, attach yarn in corner st of last row of body. Ch 1, sc in same place, 1 sc in each of next 3 sts (4 sts), ch 5 and join (9 sts), making a circle. This allows for finger holes.

Rows 2-5: Ch 1, sc in same place, 1 sc in each of next 8 sc, join. Repeat this row 3 more times. Fasten off.

Rows 6 & 7: Attach color B (white) in first st and sc in same place and repeat row 2.

Row 8: Fold 2 sides of leg together and sc in the back loops only, 4 sc across row, ch 1, turn.

Row 9: 1 sc in each sc. Fasten off.

Make another leg to correspond, attaching yarn in 4th st from other side of body.

Blanket

Row 1: With color B (white) and right side facing you, attach yarn at center back of head, ch 1 and sc in same place, 5 sc over half of the head, 1 sc in corner space, 4 sc along ch of sleeve and 4 sc in rows of body, 1 sc in corner space, 11 sc across legs to other side of body (5 sc in each ch 5 of legs and 1 sc between legs), 1 sc in corner space, 4 sc over body side, 4 sc in ch of sleeve, 1 sc in corner space, 5 sc over other half of head, join, ch 3 and turn.

Row 2: 5 dc in next 5 sc, (corner space: 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc), 8 dc to next corner, repeat corner space, 11 dc in next 11 sc, repeat corner space, 8 dc in next 8 sc, repeat corner space, 5 dc in next 5 sc, join ch 3, turn.

Row 3: Dc in each st to corner, repeat corner space, repeat to ch 3, join, ch 3, turn.

Rows 4 & 5: Repeat row 3.

Row 6: With color A (lilac) attach at any corner, ch 4, pc in 4th ch, sc in next 3 dc, ch 4, pc, repeat around and join. Fasten off.

Brim of Hat

With color A (lilac) and with right side facing you, attach yarn in 2nd row from edge of cap.

Sc in 1st st, 2 dc in next st, sc in next st, repeat to other side. Fasten off.
