Pumpkin Pecan Pie Recipe

Pumpkin Layer:

  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 C fresh pumpkin puree
  • ⅓ C sugar
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp ginger

Pecan Layer:

  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • ⅔ C light corn syrup
  • ½ C sugar
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • 1 C chopped pecans

Pie crust

How to Make It:

  1. Pumpkin Layer: In a large mixing bowl, combine egg, pumpkin puree, sugar, heavy cream, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Spread the pumpkin pie filling evenly over the bottom of the unbaked pie shell.
  2. Pecan Layer: In a medium-mixing bowl, combine eggs, corn syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla extract. Fold in pecans. Spoon pecan pie filling over pumpkin layer.
  3. Bake 50-60 minutes at 375° F, until center of pie is set.
