Apple Pecan Pie Recipe

- ¼ C butter, softened
- ½ C pecan halves
- ⅔ C brown sugar
- 6 C sliced baking apples
- ½ C sugar
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp flour
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ¼ tsp salt
- Pie crust
How to Make It:
- Spread butter on bottom and sides of pie plate. Arrange pecans on bottom and sides or pie plate.
- Sprinkle brown sugar over top of pecans and press to hold pecans in place.
- Roll out bottom crust. Allow for enough dough to over hang pie plate ½”. Place crust in pie plate over sugar and pecans.
- In a medium-mixing bowl, combine apples, sugar, lemon juice, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Pour apple filling into piecrust.
- Roll out top crust. Place over apple pie filling and seal edges with bottom crust.
- Prick top crust with fork.
- Bake 10 minutes at 450° F, then lower oven to 350° F and bake additional 40-45 minutes.
