Circular Knitting Needle: 5.5mm [US 9] - 24".

Knitting Needle: 6.5mm [US 10.5] for binding off.

Stitch marker, yarn needle.

GAUGE: 16 sts = 4"; 26 rows = 4" in pat with smaller needle. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.

Finished Circumference: 33 (36, 39)".

With smaller circular needle, cast on 132 (144, 156) sts. Purl one row before joining. Ensure that work is twisted once before forming into a circle; join. Now work in rnds of pat as follows placing marker between first and last sts and slipping marker every rnd:

Rnd 1: * Yo, K3, sl 1, K1, psso, K1, K2tog, K3, yo, K1; rep from * around.

Rnd 2 AND EVERY EVEN RND: Purl.

Rnd 3: K1, yo, K2, sl 1, K1, psso, K1, K2tog, K2, yo, * K3, yo, K2, sl 1, K1, psso, K1, K2tog, K2, yo; rep from * to last 2 sts; K2.

Rnd 5: K2, yo, K1, sl 1, K1, psso, K1, K2tog, K1, yo, * K5, yo, K1, sl 1, K1, psso, K1, K2tog, K1, yo; rep from * to last 3 sts; K3.

Rnd 7: K3, yo, sl 1, K1, psso, K1, K2tog, yo, * K7, yo, sl 1, K1, psso, K1, K2tog, yo; rep from * to last 4 sts; K4.

Rnd 9: K4, yo, sl 1, K2tog, psso, yo, * K9, yo, sl 1, K2tog, psso, yo; rep from * to last 5 sts; K5.

Rnd 11: * K2tog, K3, yo, K1, yo, K3, sl 1, K1, psso, K1; rep from * around.

Rnd 13: * K2tog, K2, yo, K3, yo, K2, sl 1, K1, psso, K1; rep from * around.

Rnd 15: * K2tog, K1, yo, K5, yo, K1, sl 1, K1, psso, K1; rep from * around.

Rnd 17: * K2tog, yo, K7, yo, sl 1, K1, psso, K1; rep from * around.

Rnd 19: K1, yo, K9, * yo, sl 1, K2tog, psso, yo, K9; rep from * to last 2 sts; yo, sl 1, slip next stitch to right needle, remove marker, place stitch back on left needle, K2tog, psso, place marker on right needle.

Rnd 20: Purl.

Rep Rnds 1-20 twice more. Bind off in K with larger needle.

Weave in all loose ends. Sew ends of cast-on and first rows together.
