RED HEART® Ltd. "Aztec™": 2 Balls No. 1511 Blue.
Crochet Hook: 9mm [US M-13]. Yarn needle.
GAUGE: 10 sts = 4"; 4 rows = 3" in pat. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.
Ch 34.
Row 1 (Right Side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, * ch 2, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch; rep from * to last ch; sc in last ch; turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first 2 sc, * ch 2, sc in next sc; rep from * to last sc; sc in last sc; turn.
Row 3: Ch 3, skip first sc, dc in next sc, * ch 2, dc in next sc; rep from * to last sc; dc in last sc; turn.
Row 4: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next dc, * ch 2, dc in next dc; rep from * to last st; dc in top of ch-3; turn.
Row 5: Ch 1, sc in first 2 dc, * ch 2, sc in next dc; rep from * to last st; sc in top of ch-3; turn.
Rep Rows 2-5 until approximately 48" from beginning. Fasten off.
FINISHING: Sew the short end of the fabric to the long side of the fabric to form the poncho shape.
Neck Edging: With right side facing, attach yarn at the seam; ch 1, sc in each row end around; join with a sl st to first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
