Chocolate Nut Pie Recipe

chocolate nut pieWhat You Need:

  • 2 medium-size boiled potatoes
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ C powdered sugar
  • 1 C finely chopped nuts
  • ¼ lb milk chocolate
  • 1 C flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 4 tbsp shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Whipped cream

How to Make It:

  1. To make the filling, mash the potatoes, add the butter and ¼ tsp salt, and beat together.
  2. Add the sugar, nuts, melted chocolate, and vanilla.
  3. Beat together until light and fluffy.
  4. Set aside to cool.
  5. To make the pastry, mix the flour, baking powder, and ½ tsp salt together, cut in the shortening thoroughly, and add the egg unbeaten.
  6. Mix and turn on a floured board; roll thin.
  7. Bake at 500° F for about ten minutes.
  8. Cool and fill with the chilled mixture. Garnish with whipped cream.
