Chocolate Nut Pie Recipe

- 2 medium-size boiled potatoes
- 1 tbsp butter
- ¾ tsp salt
- ½ C powdered sugar
- 1 C finely chopped nuts
- ¼ lb milk chocolate
- 1 C flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 4 tbsp shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Whipped cream
How to Make It:
- To make the filling, mash the potatoes, add the butter and ¼ tsp salt, and beat together.
- Add the sugar, nuts, melted chocolate, and vanilla.
- Beat together until light and fluffy.
- Set aside to cool.
- To make the pastry, mix the flour, baking powder, and ½ tsp salt together, cut in the shortening thoroughly, and add the egg unbeaten.
- Mix and turn on a floured board; roll thin.
- Bake at 500° F for about ten minutes.
- Cool and fill with the chilled mixture. Garnish with whipped cream.
