Pattern includes 1 design, 12½" x 16" for cross-stitch picture, with crosses 7 to the inch.

Here is a cross-stitch picture with the feeling of a 19th century print. Interesting souvenir of the "iron horse" age for the walls of a modern home. The picture has been planned for twenty-two different colors in six-strand cottons. There is a great thrill awaiting you as you watch the locomotive come to life when putting in the colors. A chart for placing the colors is included in the pattern. Finished with a black frame and linen-covered mat, the picture measures 17" x 20". The picture is also attractive framed without a mat.

MATERIALS REQUIRED: Six-strand embroidery cotton should be used for the work. The design requires 22 colors, in the following amounts:

  • 1 skein each of lt. blue, lt. bluish gray. lt. gray, soft blue green, bright yellow, gold, lt. golden brown, med. golden brown, dark brown, bright red, cherry red, lt. wine and dk. Wine
  • 2 skeins each of dk. gray, dk. bluish gray, bright grass green, med. green, med. olive green, dk. green and taupe.
  • 3 skeins each of med. gray and black.

BACKGROUND MATERIAL: Smooth linen, medium weight linen-like cotton or unbleached muslin in white or cream. Use a piece of material 18" x 21".
