His rosy cheeks are all aglow
With late December frost and snow.
Beneath a cap his kindly eyes
Are twinkling at each huge surprise.
He carries in the heavy pack
That's slung across his weary back.
Children shriek and dance about
Whenever he takes parcels out.
Daily he stops at each house twice
In spite of cold or rain or ice;
And Christmastime would never be
Much fun without him; who is he?
Think twice before you guess because
The answer isn't Santa Claus!
