The picture shows how to make this toy, using a piece of broomstick and an old sock. The horse's mane is made from bias tape or yarn, and the ears may be cut from any stiff material. The eyes are buttons, and the mouth is embroidered on. Make the mouth first, working over a darning egg. Then stuff the sock with cotton or cloth material. The next step is to sew on the ears, eyes and mane. Tie the sock on a broomstick, and make a rein of bias tape.
