Bag measures approximately 11" wide x 12" high without straps.
TLC® "Essentials®", Art. E514 (6 ounce/326 yard solid color, 4.5 ounce/255 yard multi-color skein); 1 Skein No. 2112 Black CA.
MODA DEA™ "Tiara", Art. R110 (1.76 ounce/46 yard ball); 1 Ball No. 4927 Pinkie CB.
Crochet Hook: 4mm [US G-6].
Stitch marker; yarn needle; 6 pony beads (optional); 12" x 8" cardboard for bottom of bag.
GAUGE: 16 sts = 4"; 15 rnds = 4" in sc. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.
BAG BOTTOM: With CA, ch 31.
Rnd 1 (Right Side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 28 ch, 4 sc in last ch; working along opposite side in unused lps of beg ch, sc in next 28 lps, 3 sc in last lp; join with a sl st to first sc - 64 sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in first 30 sc, [2 sc in next sc] twice, sc in next 30 sc, [2 sc in next sc] twice; join - 68 sc.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in first 32 sc, [2 sc in next sc] twice, sc in next 32 sc, [2 sc in next sc] twice; join - 72 sc.
Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in first 34 sc, [2 sc in next sc] twice, sc in next 34 sc, [2 sc in next sc] twice; join - 76 sc.
Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in first 36 sc, [2 sc in next sc] twice, sc in next 36 sc, [2 sc in next sc] twice; join - 80 sc.
Rnd 6: Ch 1, sc in first 38 sc, [2 sc in next sc] twice, sc in next 38 sc, [2 sc in next sc] twice; join - 84 sc.
Rnd 7: Ch 1, sc in first 41 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 41 sc, 2 sc in next sc; join - 86 sc. Place piece on cardboard and trace around edge.
NOTE: Don't join for Rnds 1-36, but mark beg of each rnd.
Shape Sides-Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in back lp of each sc around. See Note.
Rnds 2-36: Working both lps, sc in each sc around.
Rnd 37: Sc in each sc around; join to first sc.
Rnd 38: Ch 4 (counts as a dc and a ch-1 sp on this and following rnds), skip first 2 sc, [dc in next sc, ch 1, skip next sc] 42 times; drop CA, with CB join with a sl st in 3rd ch of ch-4 - 43 ch-1 sps.
Rnd 39: With CB, ch 4, [dc in next dc, ch 1] 42 times; drop CB, with CA, join with a sl st in 3rd ch of ch-4.
Rnd 40: With CA, ch 1, sc in same ch as joining, sc in each dc and ch-sp around; drop CA, with CB join to first sc - 86 sc.
Rnd 41: With CB, ch 1, sc in each sc around. Fasten off. Flatten bag to determine the exact mid-point of each side edge of the bag. With right side facing, attach CA in sc at the mid-point of one side of bag; ch 1, sc in first 12 sc, sl st in next 19 sc, sc in next 24 sc, sl st in next 19 sc, sc in last 12 sc; join. Fasten off.
STRAP: With right side facing, attach CA in first sc of one 24-sc group; ch 1; draw up a lp in first 2 sc, yo and draw through all 3 lps on hook - dec made; sc in next 20 sc, dec; turn - 22 sc.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across; turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, dec, sc to last 2 sc; dec; turn - 20 sc.
Row 4: Rep Row 2.
Rows 5-18: Rep Rows 3 and 4 - 6 sc at end of Row 18.
Rows 19 through 56: Rep Row 2. Fasten off.
Work a second strap across remaining 24-sc group.
Ties (Make 2): With 2 strands of CA held tog, join in 10th sl st of a 19-sl st group on Rnd 42; ch 60. Fasten off. Work second tie in same manner on opposite side of bag. Thread 3 beads on the end of each tie, and tie a double knot below the last bead on each tie to secure. Weave in ends.
FINISHING: Bring ends of straps together; sew together on wrong side. Cut cardboard into oval shape slightly smaller than bottom of bag. Place in bottom of bag.
NECKLACE
Necklace measures approximately 30" long.

Crochet Hook: 4mm [US G-6]. Stitch marker; Yarn needle.
Work a ch approximately 30" long. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Fasten off. Tie ends together. Weave in ends.
