This is a great craft that kids can do with some help from an adult. No need to throw away broken crayons - recycle them into crazy crayons! You can separate the broken crayons into groups of similar colors or just mix them up to make crazy designs.
What You Need:
- collection of broken crayons
- any type of mold or muffin tin
- oven mitt
How to Make It:
- Prepare the broken crayons for melting by peeling off any remaining paper and snapping them into smaller pieces.
- Heat the oven to 250 degrees F.
- Arrange your crayons in the mold you have chosen to use. Make sure to fill each one full.
- Put them in the oven for about 15 minutes or until the crayon pieces are fully melted.
- Let the crayons cool completely (about an hour) or you can put them into the freezer after they have set for a bit.
- The crayons should pop right out once fully cooled.
Time to color!
Try different molds and color combinations to make your crayons the craziest.
