Materials: Clark's O.N.T. or J. & P. Coats Pearl Cotton Size 5 White or Boilfast Color. Milward's steel crochet hook No. 4 or 5. 1 celluloid or bisque doll.

Make ch to reach around neck of doll. Do not join. Ch 3 addi­tional. 1 d c in each ch st, ch 3, turn. Make about 7 rows of d c, increasing if necessary (to make an increase, put 2 d c in a st). This forms the bodice of the dress. SKIRT. * D c in each of 3 d c of previous row, 2 d c in next st, and repeat from * around. 2nd, 3rd and 4th rows: Same as 1st row. Last row: 1 d c in each st. Finish neck edge and skirt edge with s c of contrasting color. Sew up on doll down the back and fasten bows on the shoulder.
