TLC® " Amore™": 4 Skeins 3907 Red Velvet A, 1 skein each 3105 Light Cream B and 3002 Black C.

Crochet Hook: 5mm [US H-8].
Yarn needle.

GAUGE: 13 sts = 4"; 7 rows = 4" in dc. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

To Change Color in Dc: Work last dc of the row until 2 loops are left on the hook, drop color in use, with next color to be used draw through 2 loops on hook. Continue with new color.

MOTIF A (Make 5): With A, ch 52.

Row 1 (Wrong Side): Dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across; turn - 50 sts.

Rows 2-28: Ch 2, skip first dc, dc in next dc and in each dc across, dc in top of ch-2; turn. Fasten off at end of Row 28.

MOTIF B (Make 4): With B, ch 52. Work same as Motif A EXCEPT work first 2 rows with B, next 2 rows with C, then work [2 rows A, 2 rows B, 2 rows C] 4 times. Fasten off.

FINISHING: With right sides facing, arrange motifs according to layout diagram. (Note: Rotate all Motif A blocks ¼ turn to the right so they lie on their sides - see photo. Place all Motif B blocks vertically as worked - see photo.) With A, sew Motifs together.

Border: With right side facing, attach A at center of any corner.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, 3 sc in same st, sc evenly across to next corner, [3 sc in next corner, sc evenly across to next corner] 3 times; join with a slip st in first sc.

Rnd 2: Slip st in next sc, ch 1, 3 sc in same sc, sc in each sc across to center sc of next corner, [3 sc in center sc of corner, sc in each sc across to center sc of next corner] 3 times; join. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
