Crochet Hook: 3.5mm [US E-4]. Yarn needle.
GAUGE: 8 groups = 4"; 17 rows = 4" in pat. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge given.
Finished Bust: 30 (33, 36, 39)".
BACK: Ch 62 (68, 74, 80).
Foundation Row (Wrong Side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook, * ch 1, skip next ch, sc in next ch; rep from * across; turn - 61 (67, 73, 79) sts.
Row 1 (Right Side): Ch 1, hdc in first sc; * 3 hdc in next ch-1 sp - group made; rep from * to last sc; hdc in last sc; turn - 30 (33, 36, 39) groups.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first hdc, * ch 1, skip next group **, sc between skipped group and next group; rep from * to last hdc, end at **; sc in last hdc; turn.
Rep Rows 1 and 2 for pat until 10" from beg, end Row 1. Fasten off.
Shape Armholes: With wrong side facing, skip first 4 (7, 7, 7) hdc, join thread in sp before next group; ch 1, sc in same sp, * ch 1, skip next group, sc between skipped group and next group; rep from * to last 4 (7, 7, 7) sts; turn, leaving last sts unworked - 28 (29, 32, 35) ch-1 sps.
Decrease Row: Ch 1, hdc in first sc, skip next ch-1 sp, [group] 26 (27, 30, 33) times, skip last ch-1 sp, hdc in last sc; turn.
Next Row: Rep pat Row 2.
Next Row: Rep Decrease Row - 24 (25, 28, 31) groups. Work even in pat until 16 1/2 (17, 17 1/2, 18)" from beg, end wrong side row.
Shape Shoulders and Back Neck: Ch 1, hdc in first sc, [group] 4 (4, 5, 5) times, hdc in next sc. Fasten off.
With right side facing, skip next 15 (16, 17, 20) sc, join thread in next sc; ch 1, hdc in same sc, [group] 4 (4, 5, 5) times, hdc in last sc. Fasten off.
FRONT: Work same as back until 14 1/2 (15, 15 1/2, 16)" from beg, end wrong side row.
Divide for Shoulder and Neck: Ch 1, hdc in first sc, [group] 7 (7, 8, 8) times, hdc in next sc; turn.
Next Row: Rep pat Row 2.
Next Row: Ch 1, hdc in first sc, [group] 6 (6, 7, 7) times, hdc in last ch-1 sp, hdc in last sc; turn.

Next Row: Rep Next Even Row.
Next Row: Ch 1, hdc in first sc, [group] 4 (4, 5, 5) times, hdc in last ch-1 sp, hdc in last sc; turn.
Work a few rows even if necessary until front measures same as back to shoulders. Fasten off.
With right side facing, skip next 9 (10, 11, 14) sc of last long row, join thread in next sc; ch 1, hdc in same sc, [group] 7 (7, 8, 8) times, hdc in last sc; turn. Complete to correspond to first side, reversing shaping.
FINISHING: Sew shoulder seams.
Edging (Worked around Neck, Armhole and Lower Edges)-Rnd 1: With right side facing, join thread at a seam; ch 1, work sc evenly around, taking care to keep work flat; join with a sl st to first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, * sc in next sc, ch 3, sl st in top of last sc made, sc in next sc; rep from * around, adjusting as necessary at end of rnd; join. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
