MATERIALS

AUNT LYDIA’S® “Shimmer Fashion Crochet”, Art. 188 (2 ounce/124 yard balls) or J.&P.COATS® ROYALE™ “Luna Fashion Crochet”, Art. 168 (2 ounce/124 yard balls): 8 (9, 10, 11, 13) Balls No. 1001 White.

Crochet Hook: 5mm [US H-8]. Yarn needle.

GAUGE: 18 sts = 4"; 9 rows = 4" in pat. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

To Fit Bust: 30-31 (32-33, 34-35, 36-38, 39-41)".

Finished Bust: 33 1/2 (36, 38, 41, 44)".

SPECIAL ABBREVIATION:

Dc2tog = [yo and draw up a lp in next st, yo and draw through 2 lps on hook] twice, yo and draw through all 3 lps on hook (one stitch decreased).

BACK: Ch 76 (82, 86, 94, 100).

Row 1 (Right Side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across; turn - 75 (81, 85, 93, 99) sc.

Row 2: Ch 3, skip first sc, dc in next 4 (7, 9, 10, 13) sc, ch 1, skip next 2 sc; (dc, ch 1, dc) all in next sc - v-st made; ch 1, skip next 2 sc, [dc in next 5 (5, 5, 6, 6) sc, ch 1, skip next 2 sc, v-st in next sc, ch 1, skip next 2 sc] 6 times, dc in last 5 (8, 10, 11, 14) sc; turn.

Row 3: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next 4 (7, 9, 10, 13) dc, ch 1; v-st in ch-1 sp of v-st - v-st over v-st made; ch 1, skip dc of v-st, [dc in next 5 (5, 5, 6, 6) dc, ch 1, v-st over v-st, ch 1, skip dc of v-st] 6 times, dc in last 5 (8, 10, 11, 14) sts; turn.

Rep Row 3 until 17 (18, 18, 19, 19 1/2)" from beg.

Divide for Neck: Work in pat across first 21 (24, 26, 28, 31) sts, dc2tog; turn. [Dc2tog] 0 (1, 1, 0, 0) times, work in pat to end - 22 (24, 26, 29, 32) sts. Fasten off.

Skip center 29 (29, 29, 33, 33) sts, attach yarn in next dc; ch 2, dc2tog, work in pat to end - 22 (25, 27, 29, 32) sts. Work in pat to last 0 (2, 2, 0, 0) sts; [dc2tog] 0 (1, 1, 0, 0) times - 22 (24, 26, 29, 32) sts. Fasten off.

FRONT: Work same as back until 15 (16, 16, 17, 171/2)" from beg.

Divide for Neck: Work in pat across first 23 (26, 28, 31, 34) sts, dc2tog; turn. Dec 1 st at neck edge every row 2 (3, 3, 3, 3) more times - 22 (24, 26, 29, 32) sts. Work even until same length as back. Fasten off.

Skip center 25 (25, 25, 27, 27) sts, attach yarn in next dc; ch 2, dc2tog, work in pat to end - 24 (27, 29, 32, 35) sts. Complete to correspond to first side.

SLEEVES: Ch 51 (55, 57, 59, 61).

Row 1 (Right Side): Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next 0 (2, 3, 4, 5) ch, ch 1, skip 2 ch, v-st in next ch, ch 1, skip 2 ch, [dc in next 5 ch, ch 1, skip 2 ch, v-st in next ch, ch 1, skip 2 ch] 4 times, dc in last 2 (4, 5, 6, 7) ch; turn - 49 (53, 55, 57, 59) sts.

Row 1 places pat.

Continue in pat as established, shaping sides by inc 1 st at each end of every row 0 (0, 0, 2, 4) times, then every right side row 7 (7, 9, 10, 9) times, working added sts in dc - 63 (67, 73, 81, 85) sts. Work even until 11 (11 1/2, 12, 12 1/2, 13)" from beg. Fasten off.

SLEEVE RUFFLE-Row 1 (Right Side): Attach yarn at bottom of sleeve; ch 1, work 49 (53, 55, 57, 59) sc across; turn.

Row 2: Ch 3, skip first sc, v-st in next sc, * skip next sc, v-st in next sc; rep from * to last sc; dc in last sc; turn.

Row 3: Ch 3, skip first dc, v-st over v-st, * work dc between v-sts, v-st over v-st; rep from * to last st; dc in top of ch-3; turn.

Rows 4 and 5: Ch 3, skip first dc, v-st over v-st, * skip dc of v-st, dc in next dc, v-st over v-st; rep from * to last st; dc in top of ch-3; turn.

Rows 6-8: Rep Row 4 EXCEPT work v-st as (dc, ch 2, dc).

Rows 9 and 10: Rep Row 4 EXCEPT work v-st as (dc, ch 3, dc).

Row 11: Ch 1, sc in dc, skip first dc of v-st, 5 sc in ch-3 sp, * skip dc of v-st, sl st in next dc, skip first dc of v-st, 5 sc in ch-3 sp; rep from * to last 2 sts; skip dc of v-st, sc in top of ch-3. Fasten off.

FINISHING: Sew shoulder seams. Mark front and back 7 (7 1/2, 8, 9, 9 1/2)" down from each shoulder seam. Place center of sleeve top at seam and sew in place between markers. Sew side and sleeve seams.

Neck Edging: With right side facing, attach yarn at shoulder seam; ch 1, work sc around entire neck, taking care to keep work flat; join with a sl st to first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
