This sparkling toy is made with a milk cap (the kind that fits over the edge of the bottle top), three colored toothpicks, some strands of twine and a bow of ribbon. The small sketch shows how the mandolin is put together at the back. The toothpicks are stuck into the milk cap, and the twine held down with Scotch tape. This miniature instrument may be used as a tree ornament.
