Blankie measures approximately 42" wide x 40" long.

RED HEART® "Baby Clouds™": 3 Skeins 9311 Cloud MC, 2 skeins 9010 Pastel Multi CC.
Crochet Hook: 10mm [US N-15].
Yarn needle.

GAUGE: 8 sts = 5", 6 rows = 5" in pattern.
CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

SPECIAL TERMS:

Group: 2 Hdc in same st or sp.

Group over group: 2 Hdc between the 2 hdc of a group in the row below. Group between groups: 2 Hdc between 2 groups in the row below.

To Change Color in Hdc: Yarn over and draw up a loop in the last stitch of the row, drop color in use, with next color to be used yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook. Continue with the new color.

BLANKET: With MC, ch 62.

Row 1 (Right Side): Hdc in 3rd ch from hook, [skip next ch, 2 hdc in next ch] 28 times, skip next ch, hdc in last 2 ch; turn - 60 sts and 28 groups.

Row 2: Ch 2, skip first hdc, hdc in next hdc, * group over group; rep from * to last 3 sts; skip hdc of last group in the row below, hdc in next hdc, hdc in top of beg ch changing to CC; turn.

Row 3: With CC, ch 2, skip first 2 hdc, group between first 2 hdc and first group of the row below, * group between groups; rep from * to last 2 sts; skip next hdc, hdc in top of ch-2 changing to MC - 29 groups.

Row 4: With MC, ch 2, * group over group; rep from * to last 2 sts; skip hdc of last group in the row below, hdc in top of ch-2; turn.

Row 5: Rep Row 4 changing to CC in last st.

Row 6: With CC, ch 2, hdc in the space between the first hdc and the first group of the row below, * group between groups; rep from * to last 3 sts; skip last group, hdc between last group and last st, hdc in top of ch-2 changing to MC; turn - 28 groups.

Row 7: With MC, ch 2, skip first hdc, hdc in next hdc, * group over group; rep from * to last 3 sts; skip hdc of last group, hdc in next hdc, hdc in top of ch-2; turn.

Rep Rows 2-7 for pattern until approximately 36" from beg, end by working 2 rows with MC. Fasten off CC.

EDGING-Rnd 1: With right side facing, join MC in any st; ch 1, work sc evenly around all 4 sides, working 3 sc in each corner; join with a sl st in first sc; turn.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc around and 3 sc in corner sc; join; turn.

Rnd 3: Ch 1, * sc in sc, (ch 1, hdc, ch 1, sl st) all in next sc; rep from * around adjusting as necessary around corners and at end of rnd; join. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
