Afghan measures approximately 43" x 58"

TLC® ''Heathers™'': 5 Skeins 2444 Light Sage.
Circular Knitting Needle: 6mm [US 10] - 36". Cable needle, 2 stitch markers, yarn needle.

GAUGE: 18 sts = 5"; 25 rows = 5" in pattern. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needle to obtain the gauge.

SPECIAL ABBREVIATION:
ssk (slip, slip, knit) = Slip next 2 sts knitwise, one at a time, to right needle; insert point of left needle into the fronts of these 2 sts and knit them together from this position.

Cast on 155 sts. Do not join but work back and forth in rows.

Bottom Border-Row 1 (Right Side): K1, * P1, K1; rep from * across.

Rows 2-5: Rep Row 1.

Row 6: K1, [P1, K1] twice, place marker on needle, work to last 5 sts; place marker on needle, K1, [P1, K1] twice. Continue to work first and last 5 sts of every row in Border pattern and beg working Cable pattern on sts between markers as follows:

Row 1: * K4, yo, ssk, P7, K2tog, yo, K3; rep from * to last st; K1.

Row 2: * P6, K7, P5; rep from * to last st; P1.

Row 3: * K3, [yo, ssk] twice, P5, [K2tog, yo] twice, K2; rep from * to last st, K1.

Row 4: * P7, K5, P6; rep from * to last st; P1.

Row 5: * K2, [yo, ssk] 3 times, P3, [K2tog, yo] 3 times, K1; rep from * to last st; K1.

Row 6: * P8, K3, P7; rep from * to last st; P1.

Row 7: K1, * [yo, ssk] 4 times, K1, [K2tog, yo] 4 times, K1; rep from * across.

Row 8: * K2, P15, K1; rep from * to last st; K1.

Row 9: * P2, [yo, ssk] 3 times, K3, [K2tog, yo] 3 times, P1; rep from * to last st; P1.

Row 10: * K3, P13, K2; rep from * to last st; K1.

Row 11: * P3, [yo, ssk] twice, K5, [K2tog, yo] twice, P2; rep from * to last st; P1.

Row 19: * P5; slip next 5 sts onto cable needle and hold at back of work, K4, then K5 from cable needle - cable made; P4; rep from * to last st; P1.

Rows 20, 22, and 24: Rep Row 14.

Rows 21 and 23: Rep Row 15.

Row 25: * P4, K2tog, yo, K7, yo, ssk, P3; rep from * to last st; P1.

Row 26: * K4, P11, K3; rep from * to last st; K1.

Row 27: * P3, [K2tog, yo] twice, K5, [yo, ssk] twice, P2; rep from * to last st; P1.

Row 28: * K3, P13, K2; rep from * to last st; K1.

Row 29: * P2, [K2tog, yo] 3 times, K3, [yo, ssk] 3 times, P1; rep from * to last st; P1.

Row 30: * K2, P15, K1; rep from * to last st; K1.

Row 31: K1, * [K2tog, yo] 4 times, K1, [yo, ssk] 4 times, K1; rep from * across.

Row 32: * P8, K3, P7; rep from * to last st; P1.

Row 37: * K4, K2tog, yo, P7, yo, ssk, K3; rep from * to last st; K1.

Row 38: * P5, K9, P4; rep from * to last st; P1.

Row 39: * K5, P9, K4; rep from * to last st; K1.

Rows 40 and 42: Rep Row 38.

Row 41: Rep Row 39.

Row 43: K5, P9, * cable, P9; rep to last 5 sts; K5.

Rows 44, 46, and 48: Rep Row 38.

Rows 45 and 47: Rep Row 39.

Rep Rows 1-48 four more times, then rep Rows 1-38 once more. Remove stitch markers on last row.

Top Border: Work 6 rows same as for Bottom Border. Bind off loosely in pattern.
