Crochet Instructions:

This pattern is worked in continuous rounds, as a tube. Do not chain turn. Always use the top loop of every st throughout pattern.

Chain 4, sl st to join. (4)

Rounds 1-5: 2 sc in next st, continue 1 sc in each st around. (5) (6) (7) (8) (9)

Rounds 6-9: *1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, 2 sc in third st, repeat from * around. (12) (16) (21) (28)

Round 10: 1 sc in each st around. (28)

Round 11: *1 sc in next st, 2 sc in second st, repeat from * around. (42)

Rounds 12-16: 1 sc in each st around. (42)

Round 17: *1 sc in each of the next 2 sc, skip third st, sc in next st, repeat from * around. (32)

Round 18: 1 sc in each st around. (32)

Rounds 19-21: *1 sc in each of the next 2 sc, skip third st, sc in next st, repeat from * around. (24) (18) (14)

Round 22: Sl st every other st around until opening is closed; break off and fasten, tucking ends. (7) (4) (2) (0)

Hanger. Sl st sc into top (round 1), ch 10, sl st sc back into top; break off and fasten, tucking ends.

Shaping Instructions:

See General Instructions for pinning and spraying. Flatten, to treat the 2 layers as one. Pushing from back, create an outward hump toward front down center of widest part of ornament. Shape hanger up and open. Stretch and shape to a teardrop. Spray and dry.
