Thread Colors:

White, pink or flesh, brown, yellow

Crochet Instructions:

This pattern is worked in continuous rounds. Do not chain and turn. Always use the top loop of every st throughout pattern.

Using pink or flesh, chain 4, sl st to join. (4)

Rounds 1-3: 2 sc in each st around. (8) (16) (32)

Rounds 4-8: 1 sc in each st around. (32)

Rounds 9-12: * 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, skip the third st, sc in next st, repeat from * around. Break off. (24) (18) (14) (11)

Round 13: Using white, 2 sc in each st around. (22)

Round 14: 1 sc in each st around. (22)

Round 15: * 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, 2 sc in the third st, repeat from * around. (29)

Rounds 16-20: 1 sc in each st around. (29)

Round 21: Ch 3, 1 tc in each st around. (30)

Rounds 22-23: 1 sc in each st around (30)

Round 24: Ch 3, 1 tc in each st around. (31)

Round 25: * 1 hdc in each st around. (31)

Round 26: * 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 sc all in next st, 1 sc in next st, repeat from * around; break off and fasten.

Halo. Flatten head and body. Using yellow, sl st sc into side (edge) of head, ch 3, 1 tc in same st, 2 tc in each st around head. Break off and fasten.

Collar. Using white, sl st sc into neck, between white and pink, ch 3, * 1 sc in next st, ch 2, repeat from * around. Break off and fasten.

Hair. Using brown, sl st sc into second st from halo, ch 2, 1 sc in next st, ch 2 same st, continue working back and forth, in these 2 sts, making hair line around to other side of head, leaving room for face. Break off and fasten. Wings. Using white, with body flattened, sl st sc into edge of body, 1 sc in each st 6 times, ch 1 and turn, 1 sc in each of the bottom sc loops, turn and continue 1 sc in each of the top sc loops. (12)

Round 1: 1 sc in each st around. (12)

Rounds 2-4: * 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, skip third st, sc in next st, repeat from * around. (9) (7) (6)

Round 5: Sl st every other st until closed, ch 4, * 1 sc in next st working down the outside edge of wing, ch 3, repeat from * down wing to body; break off and fasten, tucking ends. Repeat same from start to finish for other wing. (3) (2) (0)

Hanger. Using yellow, sl st sc into top of halo, ch 10, sl st sc in same st; break off and fasten, weaving ends in.

Face. Embroider now or after spraying. Using black, make French knots for eyes, with 3 running stitches above each for eyelashes. Make a black French knot in center of face for nose. Using red, make French knots, one on each side and slightly below nose, for cheeks. Using red, outline mouth with running stitches.

Shaping Instructions:

See General Instructions for pinning and spraying. Flatten, treating the 2 layers as one. Pushing from behind, make face rounded toward front. Fluff up hair. Pin halo outward to its fullest extent. Pin wings up and out to sides of body. Shape robe, flaring out slight at bottom. Shape hanger up and open. Spray and dry.
