You Need: 3 skeins of Color A & 1 skein of Color B

Hi-Straw Handles #8061, 5" zipper

Needles: One "Boye" crochet hook Size H

Gauge: 5 sts to 2"; 3 rows to 2"

BACK: With Color A — ch 27.

Row 1: Starting in 2nd ch from hook work 1 sc in each of 2 ch, * 1 dc in each of next 2 ch, 1 sc in each of next 2 ch, repeat from * across, draw B through 2 loops of last sc, ch 2, turn.

Row 2: * 1 dc in each of 2 sc, 1 sc in each of 2 dc, repeat from * across, 1 dc in each of last 2 sc, draw skein of B through last loop, ch 1, turn. Always pick up next color at end where it hangs, alternating 1 row of A & B working dc over sc & sc over dc, end with 13th row of A, do not fasten, ch 1, turn & work 1 row of sc, ch 1, turn.

LAST ROW — WRONG SIDE: 1 sc in each st of previous row, inserting hook in base of each sc. Fasten off.

POCKET LINING: With Color B — ch 15.

Row 1: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook & in each ch, ch 1, turn.

Row 2: 1 sc in each sc, ch 1, turn.

Repeat Row 2, working on the 14 sc for 4", fasten off.

FRONT: Same as back, end with 8th row of B. Pick up A and work 6 sts, continue across the 14 sc of pocket lining, skip 14 sts of front, work last 6 sts of front. Continue on front to match back. On right side with A — sl st along each side edge of back & front. Sew pocket lining in place on wrong side.

GUSSET: With A — ch 12. Work same as pocket lining on 11 sc for about 32" — to fit around 3 sides of back & front starting below top row. Pin gusset in place, starting & ending below double row at top. On right side with A — work sc joining gusset to back & front, inserting hook in back loop of sl st row. Insert zipper at top of pocket. If desired, line with matching felt.

Attach handles.
