Make squares of Bucilla "Wool and Shetland Wool," 2 oz balls;
or Bear Brand, Fleisher's or Botany Machine Washable Winsom, 2 oz skeins;
or equivalent

Use Crochet Hook, Size G or size required to obtain gauge

GAUGE: Each Square approximately 8 ins. square

Multiple of 5 ch sts

With B, ch 36 for lower edge.

Row 1–right side–Work 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in each of next 2 ch, * ch 1, skip next ch, 1 dc in each of next 4 ch; repeat from * across ch; 7, 4-dc groups, counting turning ch as 1 dc.

Row 2–Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in first dc, * ch 5, 1 sc in next ch-1 space; repeat from * across, end ch 5, 1 sc in top of turning ch.

Row 3–Ch 3, turn, 3 dc in first ch-5 space, * ch 1, 4 dc in next ch-5 space; repeat from * across, end ch 1, 3 dc in last space, 1 dc in last sc.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until 19 rows–about 8 ins. from beg. Fasten off.
