Make squares of Bucilla "Wool and Shetland Wool," 2 oz balls;
or Bear Brand, Fleisher's or Botany Machine Washable Winsom, 2 oz skeins;
or equivalent

Use Crochet Hook, Size G or size required to obtain gauge

GAUGE: Each Square approximately 8 ins. square

Multiple of 4 ch sts

With B, ch 40 for lower edge.

Row 1–right side–Work 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, * skip next 3 ch, work 1 sc, ch 3, 3 dc–all in next ch; repeat from * 7 times more, skip next 3 ch, 1 sc in last ch.

Row 2–Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in first sc,* skip next 3 dc, work 1 sc, ch 3, 3 dc–all in next ch-3 space; repeat from * 7 times more, 1 sc in top of turning ch.

Repeat row 2 until 16 rows–about 8 ins. from beg.

Final Row–Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in first sc, ch 1, 1 sc in next ch-3 space, * ch 3, 1 sc in next ch-3 space; repeat from * 6 times more, ch 1, 1 dc in next dc, 1 dc in top of turning ch. Fasten off.
