Crochet Pattern Square No. 15, Volume 64

Make squares of Bucilla "Wool and Shetland Wool," 2 oz balls;
or Bear Brand, Fleisher's or Botany Machine Washable Winsom, 2 oz skeins;
or equivalent

Use Crochet Hook, Size G or size required to obtain gauge

GAUGE: Each Square approximately 8 ins. square

With A, ch 35 for lower edge.

Row 1–right side–Work 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in each remaining ch; 33 sts counting turning ch as 1 st.

Row 2–Ch 3, turn, skip first st, work 1 dc in front loop of each remaining st, 1 dc in top of turning ch; 33 sts.

Row 3–Ch 3, turn, skip first st, work 1 dc in back loop of each remaining st, 1 dc in top of turning ch.

Row 4–Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in front loop of each st, 1 sc in top of turning ch.

Note–From now on work in both loops of sts up to and including row 30.

Row 5–Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each of first 16 sts, work a bead st as follows;–holding the loop on hook, insert hook in next st, yo and draw up a loop, ch 3 in this loop only for bead, yo and through the 2 loops on hook to complete bead, keep bead on right side of work, 1 sc in each of last 16 sts.

Row 6 and all Even Numbered Rows up to and Including Row 30–Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each st.

Row 7–Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each of first 15 sts, 1 bead st in next st, 1 sc in next st, 1 bead st in next st, 1 sc in each of 15 sts to end.

Row 9–Ch 1, turn, work 14 sc, 1 bead st in next st, * 1 sc in next st, 1 bead st in next st; repeat from * once more, 14 sc to end.

Row 11–Ch 1, turn, work 13 sc, 1 bead st in next st, * 1 sc in next st, 1 bead st in next st; repeat from * twice more, 13 sc to end.

Row 13–Ch 1, turn, work 12 sc, 1 bead st in next st, * 1 sc in next st, 1 bead st in next st; repeat from * 3 times more, 12 sc to end.

Row 15–Ch 1, turn, work 11 sc, 1 bead st in next st, * 1 sc in next st, 1 bead st in next st; repeat from * 4 times more, 11 sc to end.

Row 17–Ch 1, turn, work 10 sc, 1 bead st in next st, * 1 sc in next st, 1 bead st in next st; repeat from * 5 times more, 10 sc to end.

Row 19–Repeat row 15.

Row 21–Repeat row 13.

Row 23–Repeat row 11.

Row 25–Repeat row 9.

Row 27–Repeat row 7.

Row 29–Repeat row 5.

Row 31–Ch 3, turn, skip first st, 1 dc in back loop of each st.

Row 32–Repeat row 2.

Row 33–Repeat row 3. Fasten off. About 8 ins. from beg.
