Crochet Hook: 3.5mm [US E-4].

Yarn needle.

GAUGE: 2 sc, ch 4, 2 sc = 1 ½"; 9 rows = 2 ½" in pat.
CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

RECTANGLE (Make 2): Ch 81.

Row 1 (Right Side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next ch, * ch 6, skip next 4 ch, sc in next 2 ch; rep from * across; turn.

Row 2: Ch 3, skip first sc, dc in next sc, * ch 2, sc in next ch-6 sp, ch 2, dc in next 2 sc; rep from * across; turn.

Row 3: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next dc, * ch 3, sl st in next sc, ch 3, dc in next 2 dc; rep from * across working last dc in top of ch-3; turn.

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in first 2 dc, * ch 4, sc in next 2 dc; rep from * across working last sc in top of ch-3; turn.

Row 5: Ch 1, sc in first 2 sc, * ch 6, sc in next 2 sc; rep from * across; turn.

Rep Rows 2-5 for pat until 28" from beginning, end pat Row 4. Fasten off.

FINISHING: With right side facing, lay rectangles on flat surface. Label each rectangle's top, bottom, left and right sides. Sew last row of first rectangle to first 14" on left side of 2nd rectangle. Sew last row of 2nd rectangle to first 14" on left side of first rectangle.

Lower Edging-Rnd 1: With right side facing, join thread in one of the points; ch 1,3 sc in same st as joining, work 227 sc to the next point, 3 sc in point, work 227 sc along next edge to first sc; join with a sl st in first sc - 460 sc. Fasten off. Mark the center sc of a 3-sc point.

Rnd 2: With right side facing, skip 9 sc after the marked st, join thread in the 10th sc; ch 1, sc in same sc, [ch 25, skip next 13 sc, sc in next sc] 15 times, ch 30, skip next 19 sc, sc in next sc, [ch 25, skip next 13 sc, sc in next sc] 15 times, ch 30; join.

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same sc as joining, [ch 30, sc in next sc] 15 times, ch 35, sc in next sc, [ch 30, sc in next sc] 15 times, ch 35; join.

Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in same sc as joining, [ch 35, sc in next sc] 15 times, ch 40, sc in next sc, [ch 35, sc in next sc] 15 times, ch 40; join. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
