Blanket measures approximately 41" x 41". Jacket directions are for Size 6 months; changes for sizes 12 and 18 months are in parentheses.

RED HEART® Ltd. "Hunny™": Blanket: 5 Balls No. 3943 Seaspray Prim CA; 4 balls No. 3515 Aqua CB; 3 nails No. 3102 White cc. Jacket: 3 (3,4) Balls No. 3515 Aqua.

Knitting Needles: 5.5mm [US 9].
Circular Knitting Needle: 5.5mm [US 9] - 29" for blanket.

Stitch holders; yarn needle; Jacket: five ⅞" buttons; sewing needle and thread.

GAUGE: 14 sts = 4"; 24 rows = 4" in St st. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.

To Fit Chest: 18 (20, 22)".
Finished Chest: 22 ½ (24 ¾, 25 ¾)".

BLANKET

Strip 1 (Make 4): With CA, cast on 18 sts. Work in St st, beg K row, for 32 rows. [With CB work in St st for 32 rows. With CA work in St st for 32 rows.] 3 times - 7 color blocks total. Place sts on a st holder.

Strip 2 (Make 3): With CC, cast on 18 sts. Work in St st, beg K row, for 32 rows. [With CA work in St st for 32 rows. With CC work in St st for 32 rows] 3 times - 7 color blocks total. Place sts on a st holder.

FINISHING: Sew strips together alternating as follows: 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, taking care to match row to row to keep color blocks even.

Top Edging: Place sts from holders onto circular needle. With right side facing and CB, K across all sts - 126 sts. K 6 more rows. Bind off loosely in K.

Bottom Edging: With right side facing, CB and circular needle, pick up and K18 sts across each strip along bottom edge - 126 sts. K 6 more rows. Bind off loosely in K.

Side Edgings: With right side facing, CB and circular needle, pick up and K150 sts along side edge of blanket. K 6 more rows. Bind off loosely in K.

JACKET

BODY: Cast on 75 (83, 87) sts. K 6 rows. Work in St st, beg K row, until 5 ½ (6, 6 ½)" from beg, end P row.

Divide-Right Front: K18 (20, 21). Place rem sts on a holder. Work even until 4 (4 ½, 5)" above division, end K row.

Shape Neck/Shoulder: P 14 (16, 17); place last 4 sts on a holder. Dec 1 st at neck edge on next 2 K rows - 12 (14, 15) sts. Work even until 5 (5 ½, 6)" above division. Bind off.

Back: With right side facing, K39 (43, 45) sts from holder. Leave rem sts on holder. Work even until 5 (5 ½, 6)" above division.

Shape Shoulders: Bind off 12 (14, 15) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Place rem 15 sts on a holder.

Left Front: With right side facing, K18 (20, 21) sts from holder. Complete to correspond to right from, reversing neck shaping by ending P row before shaping.

SLEEVES: Cast on 25 (27, 28) sts. K 6 rows. Work in St st, beg K row, shaping sides by inc 1 st each end of first row, then every 4th row until there are 35 (39, 42) sts. Work even until 6 (7, 7 ½)" from beg. Bind off.

FINISHING-Button Band: Sew shoulder seams. With right side facing, pick up and K36 (40, 42) sts down left from edge. K 6 rows. Bind off loosely.

Buttonhole Band: With right side facing, pick up and K36 (40, 42) sts up right from edge. K 2 rows. Mark 5 evenly spaced buttonhole places on band. Buttonhole Row: [K to marker, bind off 2 sts] 5 times, K to end. Next Row: K, casting on 2 sts over bound-off sts. K 2 more rows Bind off loosely in K.

Collar: With wrong side facing, beg at left button band, pick up and K2 sts from inside button band, K4 from holder, pick up and K8 sts up left neck, K15 from back harder, pick up and K8 sts down right from st holder, K4 from holder, pick up and K2 sts from inside edge of buttonhole band - 43 sts. K 16 more rows. Bind off loosely in K.

Sew sleeve side seams. Set in sleeves. Sew buttons to button band.
