Tips & Hints

The post of a stitch is the body of the stitch below the top two loops.

In this pattern, you are essentially working double crochet stitches around the post of other double crochet stitches beginning at the front of the back of the fabric.

When a stitch is worked around the post of another stitch, a raised texture is formed.

ABBREVIATIONS: beg = beginning; ch = chain; dc = double crochet; hdc = half double crochet; lp(s) = loop(s); mm = millimeters; pat = pattern; rep = repeat; rnd = round; st(s) = stitch (es): yo = yarn over; * = repeat whatever follows the * as indicated; [ ] = work directions in brackets the number of times specified.
