Tips & Hints
Before you begin it might be helpful to make a short chain of 5-6 chain sts with a smooth yarn to examine and clearly understand where the loops are. There are two loops on the right side (the front) of the chain. A third loop is on the wrong side (the back) of the chain. As you proceed, make sure your hook goes under only one strand, or loop, at a time.
With larger hook and holding 2 strands together, ch 91.
Change to smaller hook.
Row 1: Sc in one loop (the loop furthest from you as you look at the chain) of the 7th chain from hook,* chain 6, sc in the next chain; repeat from * across; turn to work across the opposite side of the chain.
Row 2: Chain 6, sc in one loop of the chain (the loop furthest from you as you look at the chain and opposite the lost sc made), * chain 6, sc in the next chain; repeat from * across; turn to work across the back side of the chain.
Row 3: Holding the work "upside down", * chain 6, sc in the remaining free loop on the back of the chain; repeat from * across. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
