RED HEART® "Kids™" Light Worsted Weight Yarn, 100% acrylic, Art. E711 (5 ounce solids; 4 ounce multi-color skeins).
Amount: 20 Ounces No. 2945 Bikini CA, 12 ounces No. 2001 White CB, 7 ounces No. 2734 Pink CC.
Crochet Hook: U.S. Size H-8 [5mm].
Yarn needle.
GAUGE: Square measures 6 ½" x 6 ½".
CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge given.
SQUARE (Make 56): With CA, ch 4; join with a sl st in first ch to form a, ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, 8 sc in ring, join with a sl st to first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 2, [yo and draw up a lp] 3 times all in first sc, yo and draw yarn through all 7 lps on hook, ch 1 tightly to close beg puff st, ch 3, * [yo and draw up a lp] 4 times all in next sc, yo and draw yarn through all 9 lps on hook, ch 1 tightly to close puff st, ch 3; rep from * 6 more times; join with a sl st in top of beg puff st - 8 puff sts. Fasten off.
Rnd 3: With right side facing, attach CC in any ch-3 sp; ch 1, (sc, dc, tr, ch 1, tr, dc, sc) all in same ch-3 sp, * (sc, dc, tr, ch 1, tr, dc, sc) all in next ch-3 sp; rep from * around; join with a sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
Rnd 4: With right side facing, attach CB in any ch-1 sp; ch 1, sc in same sp, * ch 5, sc in next sp, ch 7 * *, sc in next sp; rep from * around, end at * *; join.
Rnd 5: Ch 3, * 5 dc in ch-5 sp, dc in next sc, (5 dc, ch 2, 5 dc) all in ch-7 sp **, dc in next sc; rep from * around, end at **; join with a sl st in top of ch-3. Fasten off.
Rnd 6: With right side facing, attach CA in any ch-2 sp; ch 3, (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) all in same sp, dc in each dc to next ch-2 sp, * (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) all in sp, dc in each dc to next ch-2 sp; rep from * around; join. Fasten off Weave in ends.
FINISHING: Sew squares together: 7 squares wide by 8 squares long.
Border: With right side facing, attach CA in any corner sp and work 2 rounds sc evenly around, taking care to keep work flat. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
