Rows 1, 3 and 5-wrong side-K 2, * p 2, k 2; repeat from * to end.

Rows 2 and 4-P 2, * k 2, p 2; repeat from * to end.

Row 6-P 2, * sl next 3 sts to hook, hold at front, k next 2 sts, p next st, then p 1, k 2 from hook, p 2; repeat from * to end.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 twice, row 1 once again.

Row 12-P 2, k 2, p 2, * sl next 3 sts to hook, hold at back, k next 2 sts, p next st, then p 1, k 2 from hook, p 2; repeat from *, end k 2, p 2.

Repeat these 12 rows for pat. until 58 rows-about 8 ins. from beg., end on right side with pat. row 10. Bind off in pat.
