Row 1-* K 3, p 6, k 3; repeat from * to end.

Row 2-* P 3, k 6, p 3; repeat from * to end.

Repeat last 2 rows 3 times.

Row 9-right side-* Sl 3 sts to hook, hold at front, p next 3 sts, k 3 sts from hook, sl next 3 sts to hook, hold at back, k next 3 sts, p 3 sts from hook; repeat from * to end.

Repeat rows 1 and 2, 4 times, row 1 once again.

Row 19-* Sl 3 sts to hook, hold at back, k next 3 sts, p 3 sts from hook, sl next 3 sts to hook, hold at front, p next 3 sts, k 3 sts from hook; repeat from * to end.

Row 20-Same as row 2.

Repeat these 20 rows for pat. until 55 rows-about 8 ins. from beg., end on right side with pat. row 15. Bind off in pat.
