Knitting Needles: 4.5mm (US 7), 5mm (US 8) 
    Circular Needle: 4.5mm (US 7), 5mm (US 8), 24" Stitch  holders, Yarn needle, Pompom maker.
GAUGE: 16 sts = 4"; 24 rows = 4" in Stockinette stitch with larger needle. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge given.
Special Stitch 
    Seed Stitch 
    Row 1 (Right Side): [K1, p1] across 
    Row 2: [P1, k1] across. 
  Repeat Rows 1-2 for  Seed st.

HOODIE 
                  BACK
With smaller needles,  cast on 44 (48, 52, 56) sts. Work in Seed St for 4 rows; end with a wrong side  row. Change to larger size needles and work in St st until piece measures 11 (12,  13, 14)", end with a wrong side row. 
Next Row: Bind off 13 (14 15, 16) sts, knit center 18  (20, 22, 24) sts and slip to a stitch holder, bind off remaining sts.
FRONT 
				  Work same as for Back  until piece measures 8 (9, 10, 11)" from beginning, end with a wrong side  row.
DIVIDE  FOR NECK 
                    Left  Front 
				  With right side  facing k20 (22, 24, 26), k2tog, turn. Slip remaining sts to holder for right  front.
Working on these 21 (23, 25, 27) sts only decrease 1 st at neck edge every row 8 (9, 10, 11) times - 13 (14, 15, 16) sts. Work even until piece measures same length as Back to Shoulders. Bind off.
Right  Front 
				  With right side  facing attach yarn at neck edge, k2tog, work across row.
				  Complete as for Left  Front reversing all shaping. 
SLEEVES
				  With smaller needles,  cast on 24 (24, 28, 28) sts. Work in Seed St for 8 rows, end with a wrong side  row. Change to larger needles and St st, inc 1 st each side every other row 6  (8, 8, 10) times - 36 (40, 44, 48) sts. Work even until piece measures 6½ (7½,  8½, 10½)" from beginning. Bind off.
FINISHING 
				  Sew shoulder seams.
HOOD 
				  With right side  facing and smaller circular needle, join yarn at Right Front neck edge, pick up  and knit 14sts along Front Neck edge to Back Neck, work18 (20,22, 24) sts from  Back Neck stitch holder, pick up and knit 14 sts along Left Front Neck edge - 46  (48, 50, 52) sts. Work in Stockinette st until Hood measures 10 (10½, 11, 11½)"  from pick up row. 
				  Bind off.
				  Fold Hood in half  along bind-off edge and sew together. 
EDGING
				  With right side  facing and smaller needle pick up and knit 86 (90, 94, 98) sts around front  edge of Hood. Work in Seed St for 4 rows. Bind off
Measure and mark 4½  (5, 5½, 6)" down from Shoulder seam on Front and Back. Sew top of Sleeves  between markers.
				  Sew side and Sleeve  seams. Weave in ends.
Make Pompom and sew to tip of Hood.
