Description
Experiment using different licorice, cake mix and frosting flavors or colors to make the perfect combination for your holiday party or occasion.
I originally used 1/2 of a piece of licorice for each leg, but found that difficult to keep in the cupcake and move them around, so ended up quartering the licorice piece instead.
Ingredients

| 1 | can frosting | |
| 1 | lb licorice | |
| 48 | pieces candy corn | |
| 48 | cinnamon red hots |
Instructions
- Prepare the cake mix according to package directions for cupcakes. Cool. Frost cupcakes with frosting.
- Cut licorice into 3 inch sections. Insert licorice pieces into the outer edges of the cupcakes to make the legs of the spider, 3 legs on each side.
- Place two pieces of candy corn on the front of the cupcake for fangs and use two red hots as eyes.
